Six Seasons Phase 2- Podcasts
From 2023-2024 the Denmark Environment Centre Hosted 6 Field Trips to locations around Denmark Western Australia. The events enabled the public to learn from local Noongar speakers and scientists about the natural and cultural history around Denmark. Listen to these short 7-15 minute podcasts that document these field trips
Bunuru Event-
Lowlands Beach
Professor Katy Evans visits her local beach at Lowlands, Youngs Siding and discusses the rich geological science in the area.
Menang Custodian Larry Blight makes some keen observations about the traditional activities which occurred during the Bunuru season.

Weedon Hill/ Warrumbup
Lynette is a Merningar Barduk Noongar Elder and Adjunct Research Associate at UWA Albany. In this podcast Lynette discusses the significance of Warrumbup (or Weedon Hill) and its Noongar history as the birthplace of rock formations in the local area.

Kent River/ Gnowerumbup
Millars Basin is situated 54 km North of Denmark on the Kent River. The basin is habitat for freshwater fish species. Learn from Murdoch University freshwater fish unit about the importance of this river catchment.
